How does that compare with what Paul does here? 2) Where have you seen God act - but you only realise in retrospect? What situations are you facing at the moment where you don't know what will come along? 3) St Paul is often talked about as quite a hard man of the New Testament - how does this passage influence your view of him? What about the other heroes of the bible - what 'human' characteristics do you see in them?
