This year, as part of the Global Wave of Light, we join with people around the world in remembering the little lives who are forever held in our hearts and in God’s care. Below you’ll find some of the content shared during our service — prayers, Bible readings, reflective music, and links to organisations (both Christian and secular) offering support for anyone affected by the loss of a baby or child, whether during pregnancy, at birth, or in childhood. This year, as part of the Global Wave of Light, we join with people around the world in remembering the children who are forever held in our hearts and in God’s care. We also remember all who carry a longing for children and grandchildren, those whose hopes of parenthood have not been fulfilled, and those who live with a quiet grief of a future they may never know. Together, we make space for love, loss, longing and hope, held in the gentle care of God.

Throughout Baby Loss Awareness Week, our memorial ribbon tree will stand in the churchyard as a place of quiet remembrance. You’re warmly invited to visit, add a ribbon in memory of a much-loved baby, or simply pause for a moment to reflect and pray.

On Thursday 15th October at 6.30pm, we will gather for our Baby Loss Service. During the service, we will light candles together as we join with the Wave of Light across the world — remembering babies who are loved, missed and never forgotten.

If you’re unable to join us for the service, please do feel free to use the prayer below and light a candle at home, joining with us in remembrance.
