Part of a Bigger Community
We are part of the worldwide Church and because of this it is important to keep links with other groups of Christians both in our local area and the wider world. We are within the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

We have strong links with mission partners serving around the world (see also our Giving page) and St George’s is part of a Local Ministry Group made up of Saints Peter & Paul, Bishops Hull, St Michael the Archangel, Galmington, All Saints, Trull with St Michael & All Angels, Angersleigh.

We have links with local school, Bishop Henderson Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School, Galmington which opened  in 1974, as a result of our church vision, from the then joint Parish of Wilton and Comeytrowe. We are proud to say that we have a School Chaplain, Rev Jenny Jeffery, who works at the school and is our link between the two. For more information on the school, please click here

We also have a responsibility to nominate two Foundation Governors.

Welcome to St George's Church

We are a Church of England parish church wanting to help everyone know, love and serve God. For us the 'Church' means the people rather than just a building.

Through the work of the Holy Spirit we aim to worship God, grow in faith and reach out to others with the good news of Jesus Christ. Because we have the same heavenly Father, we trust that people of all kinds will be welcomed and valued here.

You will see from this website, the wide range of worship and activities we enjoy. We hope that by God's help we can share together ways to improve the quality of life for people near and far.

Please come and join us at anytime - we look forward to meeting you.

Matthew 22: 39 says
"Love your neighbour as yourself."
We want to show God's love to those around us
